My name is Jessica. I am the “Mommy.”  I was born in Oklahoma to two wonderful parents.  In the seventh grade, we moved to Texas.  I have a younger brother, David, who now lives in California…and thanks to him, I now have my own website!!  My younger sister, Atley, lives close by.  After high school, I attended Texas Woman’s University in Denton, TX.  I graduated with a bachelor’s in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Elementary Education.  I now work in Grand Prairie, TX as a Kindergarten teacher.

In high school, I meet the love of my life.  Well, actually, maybe I should back up a little bit!  When I first met him, I thought he was T-R-O-U-B-L-E!  When he asked me out I said “yes” because I didn’t want to hurt is feelings.  However, I had full intentions of completely ignoring him until he broke up with ME!!! I know…totally backwards thinking…but what can I say, I was in high school!!!  Thankfully, he grew on me and now 7 years of marriage later, I am married to my best friend and the LOVE of my life!!  And if that isn’t enough….we have two FABULOUS boys who make life worth living!!

I have a ton of hobbies.  I love everything from crafting, sewing, gardening, and reading. My newest “hobby” is running.  About a year ago, I went with some friends on a 5K run/walk.  The last 100 yards, I decided to “chase” a couple of my friend’s kids…I thought I was going to DIE!  I seriously thought my heart was going to explode out of my chest.  It was then that I decided that I would come back the next year and RUN the whole 5K…..and I did!!  Now I have a goal to run 5  5K’s this year.  I have three under my belt for the year, and I am looking forward to the other 2.  Until then, if you see me running on the side of the road…give me a little honk!!
